March 8: Squats and Tabatas!

5×5 back squat.  Add 5-10# to the weight you used last week.

Kettlebell Swings (52/35)
Box Jumps
DB Thrusters
Toes to Bar

Remember a tabata set is 8 rounds of 20 seconds of all out effort followed by 10 seconds rest.  You will complete all 8 rounds of each exercise before moving on to the next (no additional rest in between exercise – continuous movement).  Keep track of your cumulative number of reps.

  1. 125 lb Back squats;
    total number of reps: 200 (used 20 lb dumbells for thrusters and 35 lb kettlebells for swings)
